WVHS has openings for Volunteers
Since 1980, WVHS has celebrated and preserved the history of West Vancouver. We do this through the help of dedicated and committed volunteers who have an interest in our community and want to give back. Volunteer and meet new people and have some fun. We have openings for the following roles:
Membership Co-ordinator
The Membership Co-ordinator has the responsibility to maintain and update membership records in Excel, prepare and send annual renewal notices (November), receive renewals and update records, respond to membership enquiries, prepare mailing labels for newsletter mailings (quarterly) and prepare a monthly membership report for the Board. Must be proficient with Excel and familiar with Word. The time commitment is about 1-2 hours per week at the WVHS office, with an additional 1-2 hours / week during the annual renewal membership drive (Nov, Jan – March).
Newsletter Mailing Co-ordinator
Memories newsletter is published quarterly (March, May, September and November. The Newsletter Co-ordinator is responsible for assembling and scheduling volunteers to help with stuffing newsletters, assembling the materials (newsletters, envelopes, stamps), booking space at the Gertrude Lawson House for newsletter stuffing sessions and ensuring delivery of newsletters to the Post Office, WV Memorial Library and WV District. The time commitment is approximately 3-4 hours, 4 times a year.
Newsletter Stuffing Volunteer
The volunteers support the Newsletter Mailing Co-ordinator to fold and stuff newsletters in envelopes, affix labels and stamps, and seal envelopes. The time commitment is about 2 hours, 4 times a year.
