Learn about your neighbours, who they are and why they chose to make their home in West Vancouver.
Join us on October 2, 2019 for “Learning Curves”, an exploration of the ways we learn. Our speakers include:

Chepximiya Siyam/ Chief Janice George, a Salish weaver pictured above, will talk about learning from her grandmother, and her work to restore the craft of weaving to the Squamish people.

Geoff Jopson, inspired to a career in education thanks to his Grade One teacher at Pauline Johnson Elementary, taught in his home community and served as Superintendent of Schools. Geoff will speak about changes to our local education system and to our community since he was a boy.

Maya Seethram, an experiential learner and graduate of the Environmental Science Academy will talk about her classroom studies, lab work at the Pacific Science Enterprise Centre, and mentoring elementary school students.
