Dreamers and Designers, the Shaping of West Vancouver
Join us to celebrate the launch of our newest book – Dreamers and Designers, the Shaping of West Vancouver, by Francis Mansbridge with photographs by John Moir. The book, from Harbour Publishing, will be launched in collaboration with the West Vancouver Memorial Library. There will be a no-host wine bar and Francis and John will be on hand to sign books, which will be for sale. The Library will present a photographic display highlighting West Vancouver development, which will run October to December in the West Vancouver Memorial Library.
Dreamers and Designers traces the history of West Vancouver, examining how its approach to land use has shaped the region. The text is enlivened by accounts of the major personalities involved and sidebars featuring the voices of West Vancouverites. Archival and contemporary photographs paint a vivid picture of how West Vancouver’s unique setting has defined the dynamic coastal community and the lives of those who reside there.
